Who we are

Built on
precision

Our mission

Laser Blasting Tennessee LLC was founded by Petr Yurchenko — a specialist laser ablation practitioner with extensive operational experience running industrial laser systems in demanding field environments.

Our focus is simple: bring the most technically advanced surface preparation method available to clients across the continental United States who are currently paying too much for sandblasting and getting a worse result.

Unlike traditional sandblasting, laser ablation is a clean, dry, non-abrasive process. No silica dust. No contaminated blast media to dispose of. No substrate erosion. No chemicals. Just a precise beam that removes exactly what needs removing — and nothing else.

We work with

  • Civil & structural engineers
  • General contractors & project managers
  • State and municipal DOTs
  • Industrial plant operators
  • Fleet and vehicle operators
  • Heritage & conservation specialists
  • Property owners and managers
  • Roofing and building contractors
Credentials & capability

Why we're
different

Field-proven operational experience
Petr Yurchenko has operated industrial laser systems in real field conditions across multiple years of commercial deployments.
3 patent-pending innovations
Three provisional patents filed in 2026 covering novel laser ablation methodologies and application techniques developed in the field.
4 published technical papers
Published technical papers on laser coating removal methodology. We don't just operate the equipment — we understand the physics.
Dual laser configuration
Running both a precision laser system and an industrial laser system — covering delicate heritage work through to heavy infrastructure in a single mobilization.

Patent-Pending Method

Sequential Section Rotation Technique (SSRT)

Patent pending — filed March 2026

Thermal management protocol for high-power CW laser ablation on hollow structural sections. Reduces peak substrate temperature by 45–60°C compared to conventional face-completion methodology.

Patent-Pending Method

ThermaLog Real-Time Thermal Monitor

Patent pending — filed March 2026

Real-time non-contact substrate temperature monitoring instrument developed for CW LACR operations. Enables single-operator thermal management without interrupting work.

Practitioner Field Paper

Thermal Behaviour & Substrate Response — CW LACR

April 2026

Field-measured two-phase thermal model validated across structural steel substrates. Virginia DOT and FHWA have independently evaluated CW LACR technology and confirmed acceptable coating adhesion.

Practitioner Field Paper

Field Safety Observations — CW LACR Infrastructure

April 2026

Six field-identified safety hazards not covered by AMPP SP21511-1-2024, with mitigation protocols for each. Required reading for CW LACR practitioners.

Practitioner Field Paper

Surface Condition & Coating Readiness — CW LACR

April 2026

Independent measurement data: 74.9µm mean surface profile (ASTM D4417, n=30). Chloride 1.2–3µg/cm² — PASS. Adhesion ≥ SSPC-SP10 abrasive blast confirmed.

Practitioner Field Paper

LSRF-1.0 — Laser Surface Remediation Framework

April 2026

Complete practitioner protocol for high-power CW infrastructure LACR. Fills the gap left by AMPP SP21511-1-2024 which covers pulsed systems only.

Environmental commitment

Zero waste
by design

No silica hazard
Zero airborne crystalline silica. OSHA and EPA compliant by default — no special permits or dust monitoring required.
No abrasive waste
No spent blast media to collect, contain, or dispose of. Particulate is captured at source by our integrated extraction system.
No chemical runoff
Dry process only. No chemical solvents, no contaminated wash water, no wet slurry. Clean entry, clean exit.
