Construction Surface
Preparation

Prepare concrete, masonry, and steel surfaces for new protective coatings. SSPC standards achieved without the dust, waste, and containment costs of abrasive blasting.

Getting a new protective coating to perform to its design life starts with the surface underneath. Inadequate surface preparation — contamination left in place, insufficient anchor profile, residual curing compound or laitance on concrete — is the leading cause of premature coating failure. Getting this right the first time saves the cost of stripping and recoating years before schedule.

Our laser surface preparation service works on concrete, masonry, and steel across new construction and renovation projects. We remove curing compounds from concrete slabs, strip old paint and failing coatings from concrete floors and walls, clean contamination from structural steel before coating, and prepare masonry surfaces for new adhesives or sealants — all without generating sandblasting dust, wet slurry, or chemical waste.

We work to SSPC and ICRI surface preparation standards. Our results are verifiable and documentable — suitable for projects with quality control specifications and third-party inspection. We provide method statements and surface preparation records on request.

Why laser for surface prep

SSPC-standard results
without the disruption

No dust containment required
Abrasive blasting on construction sites generates silica dust that requires full containment tents, air monitoring, and neighbour notification. Our laser process produces no airborne silica — work proceeds without shutting down the site.
Works alongside other trades
Laser cleaning produces no abrasive overspray and no chemical fume. Other trades can continue working nearby without interruption — critical in renovation projects where the schedule is compressed.
Faster surface-to-coat
No blast media to set up, no wet process requiring dry-out time, no chemical residue requiring neutralisation. We clean and the surface is immediately ready for inspection and coating — no waiting.
